We will continue efforts into the fall with our annual Write The Check Campaign.  Parents do not have to sell anything! It's a simple way to raise money - all we do is ask each family to send a check or cash (or even credit card payment online) in an amount that suits their budget. All amounts, no matter how big or small, are much appreciated and are tax deductible since we are a 501 (c)(3) non-profit . Any funds received during the first several weeks of school, during Open House or any grade level's parent night, will count toward this fundraiser. That means, if you donate now, your child's grade level will still receive credit during the fall fundraising week's competitions for fundraising. The winning grade level will see a few brave teachers and staff members get a PIE IN THE FACE! How fun! The benefit of donating early during the first weeks back to school: the promotional offer of free crew neck spirit t-shirt for any $40 donation. Support your state, national and Cypress PTA by becoming a member and Joining the PTA.  Many believe that joining the PTA commits you to help out. It doesn't sign you up for anything except a $10 contribution and an email from your PTA weekly (you can opt out of these if you wish). That $10 membership fee is split between Cypress PTA General Operating Fund, your Texas PTA and the National PTA. Participate in our annual Spirit Wear Sales Campaign and wear those t-shirts during your child's field trips, when you volunteer, at district events (represent!) and any Cypress sponsored event! Teachers usually request their students wear spirit wear t-shirts during field trips so it's easier to keep track of students.  There will also be spirit days throughout the year when your child can wear their t-shirt, along with the whole school. Exciting news this year: we are selling water bottles!!  Stop by our PTA Table during Open House or your grade level parent night and see our BPA free, stainless water bottles. All spirit items are always offered for sale on our website using the store tab located in the menu bar.  Those items will be delivered to your oldest child at school.

 

We also participate in Box Tops for Education.  Please save those Box Tops; they add up quickly!  We will receive 10 cent for each box top you clip, save and turn in, up to $20k.  We've raised as much as $3,000 in prior successful years.  Look for more information in our PTA emails coming up.

 

Our twice annual Cypress Scholastic Book Fair is also a way to contribute to Cypress. The fall book fair proceeds go straight to the librarian. Your PTA still volunteers and helps run this book fair, but the school receives the funds to buy new books and technology. Our spring book fair benefits the PTA General Operating Fund to help us pay for all those above listed programs at Cypress.

 

The annual Winter Wonderland fundraising event is another great way to support your PTA!  Look for some more amazing snow filled fun at this event for January 2018 school year!

 

Our annual Auction fundraising event has been moved to a silent auction, held in conjunction with our December Vendor Fair with the Calsue's. Just another great way to support your PTA! Look for more information on this exciting event!
